I work closely with each client to ensure that I capture the spirit and energy of the portrait subject. The aim is to not only achieve a good likeness, but more importantly to capture vibrancy and colour in a balanced composition. I use oil on canvas, and work with both paintbrush and pallet knife to build texture and interest.
